Sweet Stripes

all striped outfit

Happy Friday! I have been looking forward to this post ever since Sheela Goh reached out to me about this collaboration. Collaboration, well that is an overused word at this point in the blogging world, is only a fraction of what this post is all about. This post is a celebration. It is a celebration of women in different age groups expressing their style. This post is spearheaded by Sheela who started the Project Sister Act.

Sheela loves fashion and style like many women, but what is most important to her is celebrating the women in the clothes. She celebrates women rocking their styles and not trying to fit into the mold of what is “age appropriate” according to society. For example, the stereotype for older women has been that they don’t always have good style and that they should stick to “old lady” clothes. Have you heard that term? Yeah I have for sure. Yes our taste and styles can change throughout our teens, to our 20’s, 50’s, and so forth, but the confidence that we possess in rocking what we wear should never fade no matter how young or old we are. I am all for what Sheela is doing with the Project Sister Act. In this post below there are links to blogs of lovely women representing different age groups with the theme “Sweet Stripes”. Please check it out below as well as links and my outfit details. Remember you are beautiful and do not let any look down on you or dismiss you.  Do you in fashion. Do you in style. Do you whatever age group you are. Do you!

  1. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! I have been following Sheela and I love her style and more importantly, what she stands for. Project Sister Act is awesome. And you, Naomi, look FAB. The stripes on stripes. And I have GOT to have that pink purse STAT. Great job on this post and representing women in the best way. You rock!

    1. Isn’t she awesome? Thank you. Yeah I saw it online originally so I went to the store and they were just putting it out on the floor literally in front of me haha. Now I go to find it online to link for this post and the pulled it. very strange. It’s brand new so I know it is exists either in store or online. It’s the perfect pink.

  2. Naomi, thank you so much for being a part of Project Sister Act. You can’t possibly fathom how much I respect I hold for you. The way you write. The way you present yourself to the world. But most of all, for your convictions. You have such a unique perspective on life and I’m very blessed to have met you on Instagram. Who would’ve thought social media would bring about such a good thing 🙂

On a more superficial level, you look spectacular. I wonder how many cars stopped in the street the day you shot these photographs xoxo

  3. I love the collaborative nature of this post! All of the ladies in their various ages are rocking the stripes. And Naomi, your photos behind the colored walls are so cool, fresh, and funky! I think this is my favorite fashion post of yours! 🙂
