It’s the weekend yay! Did you catch my latest fashion post this week? It was my 1st style guide post and today is another style guide! I use to work retail for many years and one of my favorite things about retail was helping women put outfits together. One of things I was amazed about is that my customers didn’t know how to mix and match their wardrobe. If we are being honest, any woman would love to have an endless wardrobe at their disposal like celebs but in reality that’s expensive especially when it comes to day to day work/business attire. Today’s post focuses on how to bring out different colors in one piece of clothing and create different looks with it.This look today is perfect for different outfits for work.
Pencil skirts are perfect to use for outfits for work. Starting with this amazing floral pencil skirt, you will notice all the different colors running through the details of the skirt. I chose to 1st bring out the coral tones with a short sleeve blazer . Next, I paired the skirt with coral and pink accessories and plain white heels. It’s a perfect outfit for work (for me I would ditch the heels for work and do ballet flat instead lol), church and dinner.
For the other looks, I picked out 3 other blazers from my closet to bring out the royal blue, aqua green, and light pink in the floral skirt. There are other colors you could bring out in this skirt. You could even keep your blazer basic with a white or black blazer then add a color cami underneath or colored heels. That’s the beauty of any piece of clothing that is floral or has several colors in the design. All the photos are by my friend and local Houston Photographer Angela. Check out her work and website www.luvangelastudios.com. Finally, this pencil skirt is from a local business based where I live, Houston, Texas. I am glad to support Jessica the owner of Lucy Grant Boutique. She is a hard working mom so show her some love and support for what she is doing. She has tons of cute stuff on her online shop link here
